What is Annointing?
The annointing is the power of God through the operation of the holy spirit.
The anointing of the Holy Spirit is given through people to preach the gospel and demonstrate God's power and authority on earth.
When Jesus walked on the face of this earth 2000 years ego, the power of the annointing was evident by his works.
No demonic forces, infirmity nor evil presence could withstand the power that flowed from Jesus Christ. Anointing was pronounced by the miracles He performed and the lives He transformed. As children of God we have access to the same anointing that Jesus has.
When we receive Jesus, we activate the power of the anointing into our lives and when we spend time praying and feeding our minds and hearts with God’s Word, (Romans 10:17), the power of the annointing becomes activated in every areas of our lives. The expressions of our faith in God's word and promises allows the annointing flow.
Prayers
1 Father God, I need fresh annointing from the Holy Spirit today in Jesus' name.
2.Heavenly Father, baptize me afresh with Holy Ghost and Fire in Jesus' name.Heavenly Father, pour out the Holy Spirit upon me like never before in Jesus' name.
3.Baptize and overshadow my being, with your annointing, in Jesus' name
4.Father fill me with your Spirit,let me recieve the annointing to preach the gospel with power and authority
5.I declare in the name of Jesus that the annointing within me is now being perpetually activated to propagate the gospel of the kingdom of God.
6.Father God, anoint my head with oil and let my cup run over according to Psalm 23:5 in Jesus name.
7. Father God, anoint, consecrate, and sanctify me as you did to Aaron and his sons , Father make me become effective and productive in the works of the ministry.(Exodus 28:41).
8. In the name of Jesus Christ I declare that the Spirit of the Lord has come upon me mightily from this day forward. (1 Samuel 16:13), the anointing is now breaking every chain, burdens and destroying the yokes of bondage of the enemy right now according to Isaiah 10:27.
9.I stand upon 1 John 2:27, and declare that the anointing that I have received from God abides in me, and I need not that any man teach me: but the anointing teaches me all things as I abide in God.
10.In the name of Jesus Christ, I affirm that I am an anointed vessel of God. The anointing of God rests upon me, flows into and through me, in the name of Jesus..
11. I declare that the anointing, flows perpetually to the core of my being, in the name of Jesus
12 Let the anointing, flow mightily through my spirit, in the name of Jesus.
13. In the name of Jesus I declare that I have received the anointing to perform miracles,signs and wonders.
14.The anointing of the Holy Ghost has filled me with the knowledge and wisdom of God’s Word at all times and there is no confusion or uncertainty in my life because the Holy Spirit teaches me all things
How to Activate the Annointing
1.Study the Word of God.
The first thing you must understand if you desire to increase the level of your annointing is that the Holy Bible is truly the inspired and infallible Word of God. The written word of the Bible are anointed by the Holy Spirit Himself. You cannot recieve the annointing if you don't believe the word of God..
The longer you meditate on the word, the more the annointing is increasing in you, so grab the wheel and “set your mind and keep feeding on the word of God .
2.Pray in the Spirit
Everytime we spend in the presence of God, in worship, and prayer, we increase the level of anointing on our lives, praying in the spirit is one of the most powerful and effective ways of increasing the power of the annointing in our lives.(1Co 14:14,John 16:13)
When we pray in the Spirit ,the annointing empowers the prayer and carries it to the Father in the name of Jesus. Whenever we are praying in the spirit we are giving the Holy Ghost the chance to illuminate our mind, move our heart, and grants a freedom of utterance and liberty of expression. As we habituary pray in the spirit
(John 2:27 )“ The annointing which already resides in you will begin teach you about everything.
3.Pay Attention to Works of the Holy Spirit in Your life
In 1 John 2:20 the Bible says that Christians “have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth" (1 John 2:20-27). “But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him." The Holy Spirit is the annointing that teaches us all things. When you are baptised with the Holy Ghost and fire you are baptised with the annointing. As a believers you are anointed by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. But you have to walk in the spirit by paying attention to works of the Holy Spirit. In the book of Romans 8 :9 it is written“
You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. It is interesting to know that the scripture is making reference to the annointing here. Infact anyone who doesn't have the annointing doesn't belong to Jesus because the annointing is the Spirit of Christ.
4.Walk in the Spirit
If you desire to increase the level of God's annointing in your life you must live a spiritual life. In Romans 8:14 it is written "For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God"Any one who claims to be a Christian but is living a carnal life cannot operate with the annointing and those who have not received Jesus cannot have this anointing . God cannot give his annointing to the children of disobedience.
The annointing unveils the mysteries of the knowledge of God. When you have the annointing, you will understand the hidden things of heaven. And the hidden things of heaven are reserved for the children of God.All spiritual knowledge flows from the annointing -from God who is the giver of all good things
Conclusion
If you have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal saviour and put your trust in Christ, then you have been anointed by God, however, you retain and Increase the level of the annointing by praying in the spirit, studying the word of God, spending time in the presence of God and walking and living in the spirit.
